Lock Upp 2 grand finale live updates: Shreya Kalra wins the show after contestants go through ‘agnipariksha’

Right before the winner was announced, Shreya Kalra shared a few words about her journey. She added how she has given her everything to the show- and feels a little damaged mentally. She said that if it is in her fate to win the trophy then no one can snatch it from her. Farah quipped what about the damage she has done on the show?

Shreya replied: ‘Sabke therapy ke paise mere taraf se (All the therapy bills will be from my end)!’

Shreya Kalra emerged as the winner of the show after she won by 7 votes over Shivangi Joshi. The winner was decided via the total votes from janta ki jury, ex inmates as well as the jailors Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh! Shreya screamed in joy as she lifted the trophy of Lock Upp.

The janta ki jury round gave the lowest votes to Yogesh Rawat, thereby ending his race in the competition. He thanked his fans and became emotional recounting his journey from Roadies XX to Splitsvilla X6. Farah Khan called him a superstar and said his fans are proud of him.

Prince Narula, who is a reality show veteran, said that he liked Shreya Kalra’s game the most of the show. He said that if others called Shreya the villain then that’s okay since no one is the ‘hero’ in this game. Shreya thanked him for his words of appreciation.

In the Janta Ki Jury round, Sima Taparia picked out the gameplay of Shreya Kalra and said that she does not draw the line between someone’s personal lives and their presence inside the show. Others also lashed out at her for never supporting Shivangi, playing nasty, and making problematic statements.

The janta ki jury slammed Shivangi Joshi for acting dumb, using Harshad Chopda for her own game and never standing up for him when he needed her support the most. Harshad had sacrificed his spot in the finale to make Shivangi a finalist a few days ago.

Shreya Kalra, Shivangi Joshi and Yogesh Rawat became the top three finalists of Lock Upp. They faced the Janta ki Jury round, where they had to own up to their truth after 25 members of the jury grilled them with questions.

Yogesh Rawat successfully bluffed Shilpa Shinde in the second round, and she chose a ‘terminated’ slot in the game. Shreya Kalra started crying at Shilpa’s eviction as the two of them were close friends and were rooting for one another on the show. Shilpa was the wild card entry on the show who dominated in picking fights and confronting other inmates because of their bullying tendencies.

In the first task, Ram Kapoor failed to complete the puzzle after Shreya Kalra destroyed it multiple times. He said that he loved every moment on the show and said that Shreya deserves to win the show!

Akanksha Chamola picked out Yogesh Rawat and said he did nothing to deserve the trophy. She went on to add that the women have added everything on the show with their gameplay.

Varun Yadav slammed Ram Kapoor for not standing up for him during the finale week, and refused to call him as ‘bhai’. He called Shilpa Shinde the most mature one out of the lot and said that she deserves all the love.

Akanksha Chamola was evicted right before the finale. She spoke during the finale and slammed Ram Kapoor for saying she had the weakest game in the house, and noted how manipulative he is.

Shreya Kalra was declared as the winner of Lock Upp 2 by hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh in the grand finale. She had seven votes more than Shivangi Joshi, who emerged as the first runner-up.

After Akanksha said that she’d rather meet her dog than estranged husband Gaurav Khanna, she received flak for it. After exiting the show, she said, “So, no one was offended that I compared Gaurav with my parents. You’re getting offended that I compared Gaurav with my dog. If you’re criticising me on the dog, then why isn’t anyone applauding the parents? Why isn’t anyone saying that this girl compared me with her parents? If I have put my parents and my dog on the same platform, then I don’t think I have demeaned Gaurav”

The internet thinks Harshad Chopda confirmed Shreya Kalra won the show while talking to the press earlier today. He had said, “I told her from the beginning that I don’t like her lack of compassion. But a winner is a winner is a winner.”

In an interview after his eviction, Sufi Motiwala mentioned that Shreya Kalra made so many enemies on the show that barely any of the contestants would be happy to see her win.

Shreya Kalra will go LIVE on Instagram at 9:15 PM after the Lock Upp 2 finale episode ends. Many on Reddit now predict that this might be a hint that she won the Netflix show.

Talking to Tejasswi Prakash, she revealed that her estranged husband Gaurav Khanna told her that her family did not react well to her bisexuality being outed on the show.

After her eviction, Akanksha Chamola addressed rumours around her divorce with Tejasswi Prakash and said, “I said we aren’t living together. I didn’t say we aren’t friends,” referring to when she went on Bigg Boss 19 to support estranged husband Gaurav Khanna.

Host Riteish talked to HT about the contestants on the show and said, “One has to understand where each one of them is coming from, and there are a lot of deep secrets that need to be embraced… it requires a lot of sensitivity to understand them. It is a very tough game; it is not easy. They are challenged at an emotional level every day.”
