The hearth incident occurred on the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), the most important and well-equipped public hospital within the capital.

There have been 16 newborns on the hospital’s gynaecology ward when the hearth broke out, one in every of whom was rescued, in keeping with Geo. Later, PIMS Spokesperson Dr Aneeza Jalil informed the Daybreak newspaper that 15 infants have been within the ward the place the hearth occurred.
