BENGALURU: The Particular Intensive Revision (SIR) train carried out in Better Bengaluru Authority limits has recognised solely 56,99,660 ( 54.87%) voter as in opposition to the 46,88,703 (45.13%) voters from the June 16 Draft listing containing 1,03,88,363 voters revealed by District Election Officer (DEO) and Better Bengaluru Authority (GBA) Chief Commissioner.
As per M Maheshwar Rao, Chief Commissioner GBA, the 45.13% voters have been listed underneath, Absent, Shifted, Useless, Duplicate (ASDD) class.
Earlier when the GBA revealed the ultimate electoral listing on April 18, Bengaluru had 88,95,361 voters within the ward-wise voter listing of 5 city companies underneath the Better Bengaluru Authority (GBA), nonetheless, with the inception of SIR, the listing is handled as out of date.
Addressing the media after the publication of the draft electoral roll as a part of the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls–2026, he mentioned, “As per the instructions of the Election Fee of India, the draft electoral roll was revealed on Monday. It accommodates 27,69,866 male voters, 29,29,092 feminine voters and 702 different and transgender voters, taking the overall to 56,99,660 voters.”
Following the publication of the draft electoral roll, claims and objections will be filed from Monday (August- 24) to till September 23.
