Damian Priest is stepping into a different kind of battle. This time, the squared circle has been replaced by the Marvel Universe.
The WWE Superstar has officially landed a major voice acting role, adding another chapter to his growing career outside the ring.
The announcement comes as Priest continues to compete on WWE television while expanding into entertainment projects.
Rather than delivering South of Heaven, he’ll now be delivering lines for one of Marvel’s newest playable characters.
Damian Priest voices The Hood in Marvel Rivals Season 9.5
Marvel Games and NetEase Games have officially confirmed that Priest will voice Parker Robbins, better known as The Hood, in Marvel Rivals. A new character reveal trailer showcases the WWE star bringing the villain to life ahead of the launch of Season 9.5: The Mystery of Thebes, which arrives on August 7.
According to the official press release, The Hood joins the game’s expanding roster as a Vanguard character. The mystical mobster can switch between his human and demon forms while using twin pistols, dark magic, protective shields, and powerful abilities to support teammates and overwhelm opponents.
The release states: “The Hood is voiced by Damian Priest (a.k.a. Luis Berrios), best known for WWE SmackDown.”
Season 9.5 will also introduce Summer Festival Vol. 2, featuring new swimsuit-themed costumes and cosmetics, customizable movement and ability animations for Lady Loki, the return of the Krakoan Reels event, and major storage optimizations across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox platforms.
The Marvel role adds to Priest’s growing résumé beyond WWE. He has previously joined the cast of the animated film Steps and also performed voice work for Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai. Like a wrestler finding a new finishing move, Priest appears to be adding another weapon to his arsenal.
For now, Priest remains active on WWE SmackDown while preparing for his latest crossover into gaming. Whether fans know him as “The Archer of Infamy” or now as The Hood, they’ll soon get to hear a different side of the former Judgment Day member when Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 launches on Aug. 7.
