A 70-year-old man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly raping his 16-year-old granddaughter, who’s two-and-a-half months pregnant, in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras district, police stated.
In accordance with the police, {the teenager} alleged that her grandfather sexually assaulted her for about three months, leading to her being pregnant.
{The teenager}, whose mom handed away, lives along with her father and grandfather.
She alleged that after her father left for work, her grandfather would discover her alone at house and sexually assault her.
On Saturday, she was taken to a physician for a check-up after complaining of abdomen ache, and it was revealed that she was pregnant.
Within the filed report, {the teenager} said that she returned to Sikandra Rao from her maternal uncle’s home about three or 4 months in the past. She alleged that on June 20, her grandfather, Nizamuddin, sexually assaulted her and continued to take action repeatedly thereafter.
Circle Officer Amit Pathak stated that {the teenager} was despatched to the district hospital for a medical examination, which confirmed she was two-and-a-half months pregnant.
Nizamuddin was arrested on Saturday, Pathak stated.
