Along with NASA astronaut Anil Menon, Sophie will exit the Worldwide House Station from the Quest airlock at roughly 13:35 BST/14:35 CEST to put in a House-To-Floor antenna (SGANT), a crucial communication system NASA makes use of to transmit knowledge and allow high-speed communication between mission management in Houston and the House Station.
Anil and Sophie are anticipated to spend about six and a half hours outdoors the orbital advanced, putting in and connecting a spare antenna to revive full redundancy to the Station following the failure of SGANT 2 in November 2025.
