India superior to the second spherical on the ongoing FIH Ladies’s Hockey World Cup 2026 after a goalless draw with England of their remaining Pool-D fixture.

Who will India face within the subsequent stage of the FIH Ladies’s Hockey World Cup 2026?

As per the brand new format of the World Cup, the eight groups which progress into the second stage shall be break up into two teams of 4. The highest two groups from these will then progress into the semifinals.

The highest two groups of Pool D — India’s pool — shall be grouped in Pool E with the highest two groups from Pool A.

Pool A consisted of the Netherlands, Australia, Japan, and Chile. The Dutch and the Australians have already confirmed their development to the second spherical as the highest two groups of this pool.

In the meantime, China — in India’s pool — had already confirmed its presence in Pool E.

So, India will face the Netherlands and Australia within the second spherical of the World Cup.
