IRCA N&M Andaman Organises Drug Abuse Awareness & Counselling Programme for Employees of STS – Andaman Chronicle

Mayabunder, Aug. 4: The Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts (IRCA), North & Middle Andaman organized a Drug Abuse Awareness & Counselling Programme for the employees of the State Transport Service (STS), Mayabunder.

The programme was conducted to create awareness about the harmful effects of alcohol and substance abuse, promote a healthy and drug-free workplace, and encourage responsible driving practices among Drivers, Conductors, Workshop Staff, and other STS employees.

During the programme, awareness sessions were conducted on drug abuse prevention, stress management, road safety, healthy lifestyle practices, counselling services, and the treatment and rehabilitation facilities available through IRCA. The speakers highlighted the adverse health, social, and economic consequences of substance abuse and encouraged participants to actively support the creation of a drug-free and responsible society.
