Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr talked about the conversations he has had with new manager Jose Mourinho in the two days he has been back in training at the club.
He was asked about what Mourinho expects from the Brazilian superstar, to which he said, on a video by Real Madrid on their social media: “Mourinho wants me to be myself: be happy and keep playing my style of football.”
He was also asked about how the pre-season has gone for him personally in these two days, to which he said: “The sessions have been very good, we finished dead on our feet but that’s pre-season. I’m getting to know the new manager and the new players.”
Vinicius Jr claimed the main goal is to be prepared for the season, and minimise the risk of injuries, saying: “We are all working very hard. The goal is to be match fit so we avoid injuries during the season and we can rely on everyone.”
