Motorola Android 17 Beta Hits Razr Foldables & Moto G

After rolling out early preview builds to devices like the Edge 60 Pro, Edge 70 Fusion, and the “Signature” flagship, Motorola is now expanding its Android 17 beta program to a massive batch of new phones in its Razr foldables, Edge 70 lineup, and several budget-friendly Moto G devices across global markets.

A wide list of new eligible devices

According to details shared on Motorola’s official community forums (via Nokiamob), the new beta phase covers phones in North America, Europe, India, and Latin America. The fresh roster of eligible devices includes:

  • Razr Series: Razr 70 Plus (EMEA) and Razr+ 2026 (Review)
  • Edge 70 Series: Edge 70 Pro (India, EMEA and LATAM), Edge 70 Plus (EMEA), and Edge 70 Neo (India)
  • Moto G Series: Moto G Power 2026, Moto G Power 2025, Moto G 2026, Moto G 2025, and Moto G Play 2026

Motorola limits the number of slots available for its beta trials. So, interested device owners need to act quickly to secure a spot before seats fill up.

Fresh UI tweaks, Qira AI, and centered Live Updates

While testing just began, community feedback offers an early look at what Android 17 brings to HelloUI. The updated software introduces a rebranded “Qira AI” assistant suite alongside a revamped status bar layout. The new “Live Updates” pill now centers directly around the front selfie camera cutout, giving active timers, music playback, and calls to a clean focal point.

Users can also look forward to punchier haptic feedback, customizable lock screen clock faces, and a redesigned volume mixer featuring thick Material 3 Expressive sliders. The app drawer gets roomier 3×3 folder grids, improved background blur, and universal icon tinting for a unified home screen look.

How to register and precautions

To join the beta, eligible owners must opt into the Motorola Feedback Network (MFN). Then they should submit an application through the official community forum.

Beta builds naturally carry risks like system bugs or slight battery drain. So, Motorola strongly recommends backing up all personal data before installing the firmware. Plus, your device needs to have at least 50% battery capacity before you start the download to prevent accidental shutdowns during installation.
