Calcutta High Court To Hear Abhishek Banerjee’s Plea To Travel Abroad For Eye Treatment Tomorrow In Compliance With SC’s Orders

The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday said it will hear Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee’s plea seeking permission to travel abroad for eye treatment tomorrow, in compliance with the Supreme Court’s direction to dispose of the matter within one week.

Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya informed the additional government pleader to intimate the counsel for both sides, upon noting the order passed by the Supreme Court. He thus directed that the matter be listed for hearing tomorrow.

Senior Advocate Sabyasachi Banerjee and Advocate Ayan Bhattacharya are appearing on behalf of Abhishek Banerjee. Advocate Rajdeep Majumder is representing the respondent.

The listing comes pursuant to the Supreme Court’s recent order directing the High Court to decide Banerjee’s plea seeking permission to travel abroad for medical treatment within one week.
