August 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting month for the Indian two-wheeler industry, with several new motorcycles and scooters slated to be launched this month. The list includes everything from an affordable electric scooter and a family-focused EV to an all-new commuter motorcycle and a small-capacity sportbike. Here’s a quick look at the two-wheelers that are scheduled to be launched this month.
E3 Trion
The E3 Trion electric scooter will be launched in India on 6 August. It is expected to be positioned as an affordable urban e-scooter with a focus on practicality and a claimed range of around 100-120km on a single charge. While detailed specifications are yet to be revealed, the Trion is likely to feature a hub-mounted motor, removable battery pack, LED lighting, a digital display and connected features.
The E3 Trion is expected to be priced between Rs. 90,000 and Rs. 1 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the likes of the Ola S1 X, Hero Vida VX2 and the base variants of the TVS iQube.
Next-gen Bajaj Pulsar
Bajaj Auto is expected to launch the next-generation Pulsar range this month, with the new Pulsar 125 already having been spied undisguised ahead of its debut. The motorcycle features a completely redesigned front end with a sharp LED headlamp, muscular fuel tank extensions, and a split-seat setup. The spy images also reveal a rear monoshock, replacing the twin shock absorbers on the older model. It also gets new alloy wheels, an engine cowl, and a revised tail section.
The Pulsar 125 is expected to use a 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with minor refinements for improved performance. Bajaj Auto is also celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Pulsar range, and to mark this, the company could also introduce the next-generation Pulsar 150.
If launched, it is expected to feature the same aggressive design language and upgraded chassis while continuing to use a larger 150cc engine. The new Pulsar 125 is expected to be priced at around Rs. 95,000 to Rs. 1.05 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Pulsar 150 could command a slight premium. Besides the new Pulsars, Bajaj could also launch the updated Pulsar N160, which was spied testing recently.
Ather Energy will officially launch its all-new mass market scooter based on the EL platform on 29 August. Unlike the sporty 450 range, it has been developed as a family-oriented electric scooter with a spacious seat, larger floorboard and comfortable ergonomics.
The Ather EL scooter is expected to be offered with multiple battery pack options and deliver a claimed range of over 150km on the higher variants. Features are likely to include a touchscreen TFT display, navigation, smartphone connectivity, OTA updates, multiple riding modes and fast-charging capability. It is expected to be priced between Rs. 1.15 lakh and Rs. 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
Yamaha is expected to expand its sportbike portfolio with the launch of the new YZF-R2 later this month on 27 August. The motorcycle will be positioned above the Yamaha R15 V4, and is expected to borrow styling elements from Yamaha‘s flagship R-series motorcycles.
Powering the new Yamaha R2 could be a 200cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, paired with a six-speed gearbox. While the power figures aren’t known yet, we can expect similar numbers as the KTM RC 200 and the Hero Karizma XMR 210. Yamaha is expected to price it in the Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom) range.
Honda recently unveiled the 2026 CB350, CB350RS and CB350C in India alongside seven new two-wheelers. While an official launch date isn’t known yet, we expect sales to commence later this month. The updates are primarily cosmetic, including fresh paint schemes and revised graphics, while retaining the same retro styling.
Mechanically, the motorcycles continue to be powered by the 348.36cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 20.7bhp and 29.4Nm, paired with a five-speed gearbox and assist-and-slipper clutch. The motorcycles will continue to rival the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Hunter 350 and Jawa 350.
