India’s data centre opportunity remains strong, but execution bottlenecks may slow capacity: Report


India’s data centre industry is likely to grow at a slower pace than widely anticipated, with operational capacity expected to reach around 2.8-3 GW by 2030 instead of the 6-8 GW often cited by the market, according to Axis Capital. The brokerage said constraints such as power connectivity, equipment shortages, construction complexity and contractor capacity are likely to delay project execution, although long-term demand from hyperscalers and AI workloads remains robust.
