A girl passenger allegedly broken property value ₹49,000 at Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik Worldwide Airport (BPIA) on Thursday, with authorities lodging a police criticism in opposition to her.
The FIR was lodged in opposition to the passenger, recognized as Mamoni Kharat, for alleged unruly behaviour, harm to airport property, and making a ruckus within the airport’s departure lounge after an IndiGo flight to Kolkata was cancelled because of a technical snag.
In accordance with the criticism filed with the Airfield police station, the passenger was scheduled to fly on IndiGo flight 6E 7352 to Kolkata.
The criticism acknowledged that the passenger misplaced her cool within the presence of officers from the Central Industrial Safety Drive (CISF), IndiGo, and the Airports Authority of India. The incident allegedly occurred round 6 pm on Thursday.
A video purportedly displaying the passenger’s unruly behaviour on the airport surfaced on social media and shortly went viral.
The footage reveals a heated altercation and alleged harm to airport infrastructure following the flight cancellation.
