BHUBANESWAR: Biju Patnaik Worldwide Airport (BPIA) authorities lodged a police grievance towards a girl passenger for alleged unruly behaviour, damaging airport property and making a ruckus on the departure lounge of the airport right here on Thursday after an IndiGo flight to Kolkata was cancelled resulting from a technical snag.Based on the grievance filed with Airfield police station, the passenger, recognized as Mamoni Kharat, was scheduled to journey on the 6E 7352 IndiGo flight to Kolkata.The grievance acknowledged that the incident occurred round 6 pm on Thursday within the presence of officers from Central Industrial Safety Pressure (CISF) and IndiGo, moreover Airports Authority of India employees.AAI alleged that the passenger broken a monitor, a keyboard and a passport-swiping machine, incurring estimated losses of Rs 49,000.BPIA authorities requested police to take applicable motion and recuperate the price of the broken gear from the passenger. In the meantime, a video purportedly exhibiting the passenger’s unruly behaviour on the airport surfaced on social media and rapidly went viral.The footage reveals a heated altercation and alleged harm to airport infrastructure following the flight cancellation.
