In Might, the Excessive Courtroom had directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) to confirm the claims made by BJP employee S Vignesh Shishir, who has sought probe towards Gandhi and different members of his household.
Final month, the Courtroom requested the CBI to file a recent affidavit detailing the standing of its inquiry. Expressing dissatisfaction with the CBI’s response, the Excessive Courtroom in its July 20 order noticed,
“The counter affidavit of CBI doesn’t seem like a counter affidavit when it comes to earlier order. Even we’re unable to know in regards to the progress of the investigation finished by the CBI.”
