Two individuals have died and 4 to 5 others are feared trapped after a landslide at a chawl in Mumbai’s Kurla space, officers stated on Wednesday. Rescue and aid operations are underway, with a number of companies working to find and evacuate these trapped beneath the particles.

Following the landslide, BMC Mayor Ritu Tawde and Further Municipal Commissioner (Jap Suburbs) Avinash Dhakne visited the affected website in Ghatkopar to evaluate the scenario.

Rescue operations are being carried out by groups from the Mumbai Fireplace Brigade, Mumbai Police, and the Nationwide Catastrophe Response Power (NDRF).
