Oppo Find X10 Ultra is in testing with two big sensors for its 10x zoom camera

According to a new leak from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Oppo Find X10 Ultra is currently being tested with two options for its second telephoto camera, the one with 10x optical zoom. The company will pick between two 50MP sensors, both the same 1/1.95″ type size.

One is Samsung’s ISOCELL GNB, the other is OmniVision’s OV51A. Both have telephoto macro capabilities too, so it’s unclear what the exact differences are. Oppo has allegedly not decided upon one of them yet, but regardless of which one it chooses, on paper they both sound amazing.

Previous rumors revealed that the Oppo Find X10 Ultra will also have a 200MP telephoto camera with a 1/1.3″ type sensor or a 1/1.12″ type sensor for closer zoom. So for both telephoto cameras, Oppo will have two sensor choices.

For comparison, note that the Find X9 Ultra has a 200MP telephoto camera for 3x optical zoom using a 1/1.28″ type sensor and a 50MP 10x optical zoom telephoto camera with a 1/2.75″ type sensor. Since the Find X9 Ultra launched back in April and was released in May, its successor is most likely quite far away from its debut. That means we’re definitely going to be hearing a lot more about it in the near future.
